Richard Lee




Richard Lee graduated from the NSW School of Podiatry in 1971 and went straight into Private Practice in Sydney, within three years he had expanded to having three practices and employing a staff of four.

Richard was elected to the NSW State Podiatry Council in 1972 and served as an active member until his resignation due to the move to Canberra in 1978.

During that term in office he held down several executive positions including Treasurer, Vice President and President for his final two terms on council, he was also elected to be the NSW representative to the National Podiatry Council and rose to the position of Senior Vice President of that council.

Richard was elected to the NSW Registration Board in 1976.

Richard was also elected as a founding member of the ACT Podiatry Registration Board in 1987.

Richard lectured in Podiatry and Practice Management at the Sydney Podiatry College to the third year students during 1977-78.

Richard has continually upgraded his knowledge by postgraduate courses in Local Anaesthesia and Minor Surgery, Biomechanics and Laser usage in Surgery.

Richard has attended too many conferences and courses to list however his commitment to continuing education is resolute as he believes it to be imperative in this fast moving world if you are going to give your patients the very best treatment and advise.

Outside Podiatry Richard has represented Australia three times in the sport of sailing, he is also a keen supporter of his son in sport and in fact is acting as team manager for his basketball team.

Richard is also keen on his farming business on their property outside Yass.

Richard is a member of Sports Medicine Australia and of the local branch of SMA; he is also a member of Australian Podiatry Association (NSW) and is the only Australian Podiatrist a Member of Laser Medicine and Surgery Inc (USA) . He is a member of The Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine Australia and the Diabetic interest group in NSW.

Richard has a great interest in Diabetes and is a regular presenter to the ACT Diabetic Association in preventative footcare for those with Diabetes.

Richard is at present the Chairperson and convenor for the National Podiatry Conference to be held in Canberra in the year 2001.


Sandra Moffat




In 1985 Richard was joined in the practice by Sandra Moffat.

Sandra graduated as Dux of the NSW School of Podiatry in 1971 and so Sandra and Richard had built up a repour as students over their three years at the college.

Sandra went from college straight into Private Practice in Maitland and then moved to Melbourne where she worked in Private Practice for some years.

Sandra next moved to Perth where she worked for the Local Government as head Podiatrist in a multi disciplinary centre, during this time she built the Practice to where five Podiatrists were employed under her control.

On her return to her home town of Canberra she joined The Walking Clinic as a partner.

Sandra has also attended too many Conferences to list however her commitment to further education includes Postgraduate courses in Local Anaesthesia Biomechanics and Laser usage in Surgery.

In 1989 Sandra was awarded the extremely prestigious ãChurchill Fellowshipä to research Marfan's Syndrome and its effect on the lower limb.

This award was gained after a great deal of study and personal commitment to the task.

Sandra travelled to the United States to carry out her research and studied in San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia and at the famous John Hopkin Memorial Hospital in Baltimore.

As a result of this study Sandra gained international recognition and was subsequently invited to give a paper at the 1st World Podiatry Conference in the UK in 1993 and this she did to rave reviews.

Sandra then put her talentâs to the task of gaining Registration For Podiatry in the ACT and was elected the Chairperson to the first Podiatry Registration Board of The Australian Capital Territory, a position she still holds today.

Sandra is a member of Sports Medicine Australia and the ACT branch of the SMA, The Australian Podiatry Association and the Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine along with being the Past President of The Churchill Fellows Association of ACT.

Sandra is at present the convenor and controller of the Norths junior basketball teams.
