The Walking Clinic was founded by Richard Lee in June 1978 under the name ACT Podiatry Services after Richard moved to Canberra to be closer to his other loves, skiing and farming.

ACT Podiatry Services was the first fully operational Podiatry Centre in Canberra bringing a whole new dimension of Podiatric Care to the ACT and surrounds.

The practice was in the heart of Canberra City and remained there until 1993 when we moved to Braddon. In November 1999 we moved to our new spacious and spectatular location location at 195 Mouat Street Lyneham, where we could better service our patients.

It was in 1993 that we changed the name to The Walking Clinic a name that we believed would more fully reflect our ambition and commitment to supply the people of Canberra with the highest quality Podiatric treatment and care from highly qualified Podiatrists.

Podiatrists are trained to diagnose and treat all conditions of the lower leg and foot, they also advise on how to prevent future problems especially in young patients and those with Diabetes, Arthritis and poor circulation.

We also treat those involved in all levels of sport, truly a clinic for the whole family.
