OUR TEAM
Richard Lee - Principal Podiatrist
Richard opened the Walking Clinic in June 1978 and has been
principal operator since that time.
Richard has a pride in his profession of podiatry and is dedicated
to providing the best service he can to his patients. He ensures
his knowledge and education is constantly enhanced to keep up
with current trends and practices in the profession.
Richard practices one day a fortnight at the Atherfield medical
centre in Yass. This gives him the opportunity to acquire
hands-on knowledge of the skills needed in providing a podiatry
service to a rural community.
Jennifer Sonter - Podiatrist
Jennifer completed a Bachelor of science from the ANU in Canberra.
She was interested in a career in the health profession, so moved
to the Central Coast, NSW to study podiatry at the University of
Newcastle.
Jennifer graduated in 2010 and is currently completing honours and
lecturing in podiatry. Her thesis is a reliability study on a vascular
test that is commonly performed by podiatrists.
Jennifer enjoys being a podiatrist because she likes to see how her
work can reduce the foot pain of her patients. She likes not being
stuck behind a desk all day and meeting lots of different people. No
two days are the same.
Since Jennifer moved back to Canberra she has started bush
walking. So far she's made her way up most of the hills and
mountains in the Territory and she loves taking in the views as the
seasons change. She is an avid gardener and enjoys cooking with
her own produce.
Emma McInerney - Podiatrist
Emma graduated from the University of South Australia with a
Bachelor of Podiatry in 2007. She has previously worked in private
practices in both Hobart and Adelaide. Her special interests include
paediatrics and general podiatry. Outside of work she enjoys
running, gym classes, touch football and tennis.
Kwang Hee Kim - Podiatrist
Kwang is originally from Korea, but has lived in New Zealand for
many years. Kwang studied Podiatry at the AUT University in New
Zealand. Kwang has a special interest in Diabetes and its affects on
the feet.
Kwang is a good cook and loves experimenting with his native
Korean cuisine. He is enthusiastic and loves meeting new people.
Juliet Martens - Receptionist
Juliet has been working at the Walking Clinic since 2004. She was
born in England and emigrated to Australia in 1968. She is friendly
and outgoing and is always willing to assist and have a chat with
the patients that attend the clinic.
In her spare time Juliet enjoys spending time with her daughter
Natasha and her beautiful fat cat Jessie James.
Traecy Robertson - Receptionist
Traecy has worked part time at the Walking Clinic since July 2006
and now works on Fridays.
She is a local girl having grown up in Ainslie.
Traecy spent twelve years working in the canteens at Latham and
Gold Creek primary schools. She enjoys seeing the children now all
grown up when they come into the clinic.
Traecy loves spending time with her family. Her husband, three kids
and five furry kids - four cats and a dog.
Outside work Richard's interests include spending time on his farm near Yass
and sharing a love of downhill mountain biking with his son.
